Kay Figo, whose real name is Cynthia Kayula Bwalya, is a talented Zambian female artist who has made a name for herself with her unique music style. She was born on July 23, 1985, in the small mining town of Luanshya in Zambia, to Benson Bwalya and Melody Mukupa. Her stage name is a combination of her middle name, Kayula, and the word “Figo”, which means freedom.

Kay Figo’s music is a fusion of ragga, RnB, and pop rhythms, with the addition of the Zambian music style called dunka dunka.

Kay Figo has gained a reputation as one of Zambia’s best female artists, and her music has won her numerous fans across the continent. She is now part of the Gason Kanson project, joining other talented artists in creating innovative music.
